Day 3: It is 2008! We decided to visit the busiest places in Bangkok and that would be the temples. We didnt know the Thais have recently picked up a new belief (I read from their local paper) that on the first day of each new year, they will receive good luck if they visit all 9 temples within a day - that is, the first of January.
I read that only on the 2nd of January and of cos, we were quite lost in translation when we first got to the Grand Palace and then Wat Pao and lost our bearings on Chao Phraya. It was pretty tedious and we were imagining Amazing Race. LOL.
Now. Let's have the pictures speak for itself. I did plenty of potraiture & random people shots *shrugs* Dont ask. I went crazy cos my 1st time in Bkk with my dSLR :)
Not the end yet ...

Day 2: Woke up on the last day of 2007 catching up some old movie on HBO which caused us missed breakfast at the hotel (thank God). Went str8 to the hip Thong Lor to look for H1 (failed) and ended up havin' breakfast at Au Bon Pain @ Villa Market - awesome freshly baked bagels & the weather was superfine. Someone should buy the franchise over to Malaysia. Start in Pavilion first - Connection level :)
Anyways, spent shopping at major shopping centres before heading down to Central World Plaza (prev. World Trade Centre) for the Countdown party. Policemen were stationed everywhere to avoid the bomb incidents that happened last year. The amount of ppl was OTT. We almost died when the crowd started pushing ... it was a very unpleasant experience, seriously. But we were up close and personal with this really good looking hip hop/rap Thai artist - he looks mixed Chinese Mat Salleh - who was also trying to escape.
Oh I think I missed the part of us having a really, really good shabu shabu NY's eve dinner at Central World :) We ate a tad too much this trip. Back to obese now :(
To be continued ...
Been very, very busy. "Battlefield"
