The Beckhams
The Beckhams. Ah.
I hardly am a fan of the Beckhams. ACtually, to be darn honest, I'm hardly a fan of Victoria Beckham. That's cos everytime I look at her, she reminds me so much of Cruella de Vil. Everytime. The similarity, however, stops there - the facial bit. Thank God for Cruella, I thought.
It must be darn difficult being her having to be David's wife - tolerating his infidelity (if any; but I don't blame him) and taking care of 4 kids while managing troupes of paparazzis from all over the world. Even Madonna and Paris are envious. Not for her funny looking titties but the glam and the super hot husband. By the day hot, may I add.
The latest issue of W Magazine evidently shows it. And, Steve Klein, the photographer, is like the Godfather of fashion photographer who've previously shot pictures of Madonna (she and the horses in W Magazine which I think the idea was "improvised" by a local photographer with Wan Zaleha Radzi), Britney, J Lo etc. My hero, I must add.
Now. Start salivating, boys and girls while I'm off to gym and google for the nearest salon that has tanning machine or air-brush tan on body. Any recommendations? Maybe I should get a tatt, too *vain grin*

I think I need a shot of tequila to cool me down. Grrr.

music i love that i'd like to share...
Feist / The Reminder - A little folksy compared to the 2005 album, 'Let it Die', and as an (self-claim) unconventional / art-junkie, I am attracted to the album's cover which I have to say would mislead people that this album is of funky dance music genre - check out their tour poster. Damn cool. Anywho, if 'One Evening' (from 'Let it Die') is a little chill out funk, then this latest offering is quite mysterious like a folklore. If I talk any sense there :p
Mutya Buena / Real Girl - Her first solo album since she left Sugababes (not the same no more). I always love her soulful voice and I think this is a first good effort. I love 'Real Girl' mainly cos she sampled the classic Lenny Kravitz's 'It ain't over till it's over' in it. I really hope she does well. And, by the way, I think when you are famous no matter how weird your name is, it will become cool, yes? Imagine, Muthu Singam, a hot fashion young designer from New York. LOL.

Groove Armada / Songboy Rock - Very different from their previous efforts. But, I like much cos it's quite retro.
Mark Ronson / Version - He received plenty of write-ups on local and international magazines recently mainly because he is currently the hot DJ/producer in the UK - his work includes the supercool & hugely popular Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' and Lily Allen's 'Alright, Ok' . So, I got curious and went on to check out his CD (translate: download). Boy, was I impressed. It is very 70s, and I am somewhat reminded of the first Ocean 11's OST. Best track: "Valerie", "Oh My God" & "Stop Me".
Other's worth checking out: Cassandra Wilson's 'Thunderbird'

Lift, Cut & Talk?
I was flipping the pages of the latest issue of Men's Health (Malaysian issue with Datuk err, Bernard Chandran on the cover) & stopped momentarily to read an article on, well, health.
"Hey! Is THAT the new phone?" my nephew whom was nearby asked me.
I looked on the opposite side of the page and laughed. "That's not a ....". I stopped cos the older fella (his brother) quickly came over and peeped on the page and said, "Cooool!".
I was a little baffled but before I could correct them, the little fella went on to say this, "Yeah. I think Puan Fatimah has one of these. It plays music wan."
I laughed out really loud this time rather fascinated by their imagination.
"Hey wait a minute. That is NOT a phone! It's a WASHING MACHINE!"
"WHAT?" I said that way too loud cos I was more amused now.
"OK. Tell me. Where do you put the clothes & wash them?" I asked.
"Errr.......WAIT. I KNOW what those are!!" the older one fell back into the couch and laughed out really loud now.
"YEAH! Puan Fatimah used it before. It was cool wan," the little fella added and boy, was he convinced that that was a mobile phone or what?
I was, of cos, laughing my heads off.
"So does your teacher, Puan Fatimah, used it to erm," I lifted my armpit, "shave it here?"
We all laughed out so hard I think my sister think we were nuts.
That, however, totally made my day. And, err, of cos, coming home to a hot guy cleaning the house :)
And, if you are wondering, this is the "Phone / Washing Machine" they were talking about.
