Bob & Jean

Bob & Jean are so adorable. Pure breed pugs. These photos taken using a DSLR. Not mine, tho - both the pugs and the DSLR. Sigh. Anyways, the pugs are still very young and as big as a 3 months old baby?

Idol

I almost cringed watchin' ex-Idol, Jennifer Hudson belting out the first song, "Move", of the 3 songs nominated at the Oscar from the movie, 'Dream Girls' last night. It was not that she wasn't good, she rocked it. But I was preparing for the worse cos you know, it WAS the Oscar we're talking about and a bit of a flaw will be deemed embarassing, to say the least. Flaw there was none. No, wait. There was. One of the 'cup' that holds her massive titties was showing. That was quite odd, I thought. But, it was a jiggling good performance *grin* And, Beyonce was equally powerful with her rendition of 'Listen'. She had to, I suppose, cos inevitably people will compare her performance with Hudson. She was singing against Hudson, not Mandy Moore or Jessica Simpson.

Still. I was disappointed Babel did not win for Best Movie. And, Brad Pitt did not show up for the Oscar. Tho' Gael Garcia did looking superfine.

Oscar aside. Tomorrow will be another round of singing competition with the remaining 10 male contestants and 10 female contestants the night after vying for the top spot as the next American Idol. It is obvious at this point that the girls are much, much better than the boys. The boys came out and sung some of the really borring songs if not tacky performance last week whilst the girls. They just did their thing and wowed everyone including the judges.

If anything, 8 girls should be in the final 12. If I could choose, I would pick my final 12 as...

  1. Brandon Rogers
  2. Chris Sligh
  3. Jared Cotter
  4. Jordin Sparks
  5. Lakisha Jones*
  6. Melinda Doolittle*
  7. Chris Richardson
  8. Sabrina Sloans*
  9. Stephanie Edwards*
  10. Phil Stacey
  11. Nicholas Pedro
  12. Blake Lewis*

I have a lot of favorites (*) and I hate to see them getting cut. Well, they could become the next Hudson *shrugs*

Bandar Melaka

What do one do when they're bored in KL during CNY? Go outstation! We drove to Malacca and spent 6 hrs of fun (ok, not THAT fun, but it was nice) there. Food sucks, tho'.

{Top - Bottom} 1) Melaka in 6 hours. 2) Retro digital clocks - I really dig these retro clocks that my dad used to own. This shop collects anything and everything from F&N orange glass bottle to rusty tiffins. I suppose he believes that another person's trash is another person's treasure. Whatever, I dig it. 3) Chairs 4) Same chairs different spot. Captured this in a hotel or motel which occupied two shops in Jonker st. I love the 'trash' they used in the shop...Stark. 5) Me and the wishing well 6) The hotel/motel 'lobby' 7) BS chickin rice stall in Jonker st. It sucks. 8) BS chickin rice balls...they sucked. 9) Ad. He looks like he is in Cuba or something. 10) Kung Fu Hustle circa 1974. 11) Uncle selling CNY goodies. 12) Me selling muachis :p 13) Window to Ad 14) Lantern 15) God of Door. Fierrce. 16) Red bow 17) The shadows from the sunlight that cast on the wall & floor made this a great spot for picture.

In Pursuit of Happiness

Met up a friend who was back in KL for CNY recently.

Me: So. How was your CNY?

F: It was borrrring. Eat, eat and eat.

Another friend asked me the same question...

*Cough* It was fun! *Cough*

Seriously, IT was. Even though I am still coughing and losing sleep from coughing. It was quite fun. I enjoy hanging out with my family members especially if I've got ALL of them together in the same house. For the record, I am the youngest of 7 kids. Haha...Yes, my mom did it all that is why all of us very 'sayang' her. She's the bomb although she whines and whines and whines almost all the time - when we were very young to becoming a rebellious teen to when we started working, she whines. It is every mother's requirement to do that to their kids regardless if she/he is good or bad. They whine.

So, back to my mom. Yeah, she was whining again on the 2nd day of CNY. Not on the 1st day cos she said it is bad karma. So. She did it on the 2nd day. Not to us. To the maid. I feel for her, seriously. For the maid-lah. I mean, how many human beings can take a constant whining from a lady about something that she did not do or missed out over and over and OVER. Like, a broken record? I can't. I told her this when she said,

I told her to do work, she showed me black face.

But, ma. She memang got black face what. If it was me, I will show you black-er face lah. Ur so whiny!

She was speechless.

I wanna thank her, btw, and my bro, for letting me win over at Mahjong earlier. I've never played a game that costs RM1.00 per point before. I really enjoyed it albeit having only 4 hrs of sleep the night before and sitting there for 6 hours or so. (Whoa. I gambled more than I sleep. But that was the last time I gambled). An, in between games, she started asking me the inevitable question (damn, I KNEW it was a trap).

So. When are you getting married? You're turning like, 31 soon?

You see. My ma likes to add one year more to everyone's age even if she has been corrected cos she always thinks she's right. We've gotta let her (to be right), too, lest she will play the broken record over and over.

Married? Who is getting married? I wanna win 4D!

You buy? (Her favorite subject).

Phew. I managed to evade that but I had practiced it before showing up at home prior to CNY that I would say this:

Nobody gets married these days! Look at Brad Pitt and Britney Spears. It's the century of divorce!

Thank God I did not do that. It's so fucking LAME.

Anyways, I saw a friend online earlier and asked him the same question I asked my friend (see above).

His reply was, "Eat, sleep, eat, sleep...So fat now. And I've been missing gym."

Darn. I must be the ONLY one who is Chinese and hasn't been eating a lot during CNY. I should start tomorrow with Dim Sum when Ad is back. Still, I need to hit the gym now.

Inspiring turn

I am a person that believe in word of honour. And, I am a person with integrity. I work very hard to keep my words and not to go against it and in return, I'd like people around me to be the same.

But, who am I kidding right?

JT's latest single, "What comes aroung goes around" is my theme song for the first quarter of 2007. Watch out.

I am a very nature friendly person, too. It pisses me off to see people throwing things out of their car while driving, seriously. You'd be surprised they are many of these 'animals' out there.

I am also a person who seeks inspirations from everywhere. National Geographic is truly inspiring. So is Asha Gill. Hehe... I love her energy and her passion for everything simple and not too over-the-top (OTT).

Anywho, here are some images from NGC that totally Wow me. Like, when I first laid my eyes on the latest design of Salvatore Ferragamo's latest fragrance, 'F' and his latest campaign with my favorite Carmen Kass. Gorgeous. Exquisite. (And, frightening...hahaha)

[Top - Bottom] Pre-historic sharks, known as 'Frill Shark' and 'Goblin Shark' were found in Japan recently. Bushmen in South Africa: At the camp clinic a girl bundles a child sick with TB against the cold. Figures in a mirage, Bushmen wearing skins and carrying bows and arrows cross a salt pan in Namibia's Nyae Nyae Conservancy. Over 100 Dinosaur eggs found in India. More than 1,000 large turtles washed ashore in Bangladesh. The village people were helping an infant at the flood in Jakarta, Indonesia.

And the Grammy goes to...

Not Justin Timberlake.

Not MJB.

It's DIXIE CHICKS! Geez. They came back with a bang, eh?

Sigh. "My predictions sunk like Titanic, " DT said.

Anyways, the good news is that Muse Studio did really well yesterday after all the hardwork ie lugging extra weights, literally, to the bazaar and sweating buckets fixing the extra shelves we brought over. It was all worth it.

Thanks a lot to those who have dropped by and bought a Muse Bag - you know who you are. Next round will be on the 25th of February. I can't wait. Seriously, cos I love the camaraderie we have with the other vendors and of cos, our regular customers. They come every week to check out our stuff tho' they have only purchased once. It is a joy to work and not work, work, yaknow.

Our next project will be ... I dunno. Painting? Accessories? Photography? CNY is the time for me to sit down and think hard about this. Some pics from yesterday.

Untitled

Yeah, I've changed the layout again. I think I get bored of things easily.

Have a good weekend.
I know mine will be superbusy.
Oh, and Heroes is darn addictive.
Just like Mentos Plus, Citrus Mix

Take that!

Cny is just around the corner.

Valentine's Day is not but another five more days. FIVE MORE days! My heart skipped a beat. I haven't got a clue what I'd do. Maybe I will just lie on the ... wait. TMI*

Grammy's 'live' on next Monday on cable tv. I wonder how much of my prediction will materialise and I'd love to see performances by JT, Beyonce and the likes.

Muse Studio's new range of bags 'live' on Sunday at ABC Sunday Market in Mt Kiara. And, we haven't come up with the new display, yet.

Ugly Betty, Heroes, Desperate Housewives S3, ANTM cycle 7, Janice Dickinson's Modeling Agency, Project Runway - Msia ver. *gasps*, Prison Break S2, Lonely Planet's Six Degree.

Wow, the year has definitely kicked off better than I have expected. The kiasu side of me got me looking for Heroes DVD set around town today and yes, I've purchased it and I will get to watch it way ahead of you paid tv viewers! :P

And, Fashion House *wince*

I definitely love 2007.

Seriously.

Bangkok: Part Deux

There were lots of adorable pure breed dogs in Chatuchak weekend market. We like them so much we almost got one home since it's soo darn cheap. I miss 'em dawgs :(
