Smell Me

DSC_0288

I've finally gotten it. Yes, the new Diesel for men edt *grin* Haven't really liked any perfume this much since Polo Blue. Plus, I've always like this brand (my wallet is Diesel tho' its been like 4 years now) and plus, plus, the packaging is simply awesome. No? :)

Oh since I was shooting something, I thought I might as well throw in another picture. Have a great weekend.

Viewtilicious

I'd said that I will wait for Sony Ericsson's W960i some weeks back and guess what? The wait is apparently over. I have just received an email from SE that the phone has arrived. When I called up the nearest SE shop in town, the girl replied:

"Notchet come out".

"When will it be released then?"

"I also dunno. But Mister, waitaminute."

Some 1 minute later, she came back to the phone and said, "Next year maybe."

NEXT YEAR? But I've got an email from Sony Ericsson telling me it has been released? Ah, forget it. I am not arguing with her. It's pointless. I will find out soon, I suppose.

I've sidetracked my attention to other phones, as usual. That is just typically me, the kiasu consumer who likes to check out other options. The brand spanking new LG's U990 Viewty phone. VIEWTY, as in QWERTY? Duh. Its kinda like the Prada phone predecessor.

This baby is packed with 5MP camera, Xenon camera flash - those used on Canon digicam - and it shoots 120fps for video recording. These are some really obscene features that I dig besides the touch screen function and the supercool image browsing and video recording feature. Sure, iPhone is cool and all that but it hasn't reached out shore just yet and it has got the coveted BEST GADGET of the year on Times magazine recently. But, seriously, when is it arriving and if it does, will it be the same as the US version? By then, it has become obsolete ... 2MP? No Wifi or 3G?

The other telco honchos are quick in cashing in the cows, of course. Afterall, Asia is the biggest market for mobile phones. So, I guess LG released this black beauty and totally pique my curiosity - honestly, when someone mentioned an LG phone before Prada phone, I'd cringe. Now there is one problem. How much exactly is it retailing at? I must go to the nearest LG phone reseller, urm...

Duh-nuts Craze

What is UP with Malaysians lately?

I am not talking about the corruption cases nor the murder cases on our local dailies, but the Donuts madness! We read on The Star yesterday that J.Co the brand new Donut Cafe in Pavilion KL is doing super-fine. It is reportedly making 10,000 transactions per day. Ad being the Math genius immediately calculated the amount of money they've made within the first month they have opened - RM3mil?

Ok let's do the Math here. Considering each donut costs RM3.00. The paper reported that each customer that walks in will buy at least half a dozen. If on the average there are 5,000 customers (assuming lah), they'll reap in a gross profit of RM90,000 PER FUCKING DAY. And multiply that to a month?

Who is laughing all the way back to Jakarta, man? I think they make more money than say, Marc Jacobs or Louis Vuitton next door! Can I have a franchise license please? Ok I am more original than that but these days we want fast money. Why not, right? Maybe we should come up with a much funkier label, interior, branding and service to give them a run for their moolah.

We'll call it JUICY PINK Donuts (ahem, copyrighted, ok. But if you want advice, I have plentiful of ideas *wink*). We'll have hot young men and women all dressed up like Zac Efron and Paris Hilton serving donuts. Whaddaya think? Haha...

Ok. Anyways, their next best competitor, Big Apple Donut & Coffee, opened it's door to the public today in the same mall but alas on Level 6. Well, IF you have been to the Pavilion, Malaysians hardly go all the way up to Level 6 cos they are just too erm, lazy (FYI, so much more will be opening in the next couple of weeks I think Pavilion has got a lot of potentials). Walking is a pain so these guys from BADC decided to come up with something ingenius (or so they think).

Packed half a dozen of donuts in their fancy box and start giving each tenant a box. Good publicity and what way to create awareness. But I reckon they should also cover the customers who are shopping in the mall especially during lunch time. Man the damn entrance and pass it to the customers. Or, open a booth right outside of J.Co!

Hahaha... I'm so evil. Anyways, I shall go enjoy the oh-so-damn-sinful (and jelaking) free donuts. The Marketing Manager wanted me to immediately try the Durian Donut. Yikes.

Fancy one?

2nd day of November
I think by the 3rd day of our meeting, we were already erm, making out? :p

imamamaterial Kid

Did I say I have been shopping for a smart phone? I did right. Brain damage lately. It is down to these two fellas ...

OH CRAP! My apologies. I got distracted by JRM. And, yeah, since I've posted the wrong picture, let's talk about JRM for a bit. Check out the super hot photos on latest Details. Damn! I need to hit the gym more often now.

Oh, yeah. Smart phones.

Yes. These are the two phones from the same manufacturers. I have been checking out P1i at the local phone retailers, read tonnes of reviews online and off the mag stand :P ... I'm quite convinced but the buzz is on the W960i now BECAUSE it is packed with 8G of storage, touch-screen (must got touch-screen mah!) and a lot funkier looking. Maybe I shall wait *squinting*

Whilst browsing for smart phones, I detoured a little bit and checked out JRM and other hot celebrities. Amongst them are this super-hot "new kid" on the choc-a-block digital cameras industry.

Ricoh GR Digital II

I know I know. Ricoh aint your regular Canon and Canon. Or Nikon; but, read what it has to offer and check out the sample images taken from this camera. This baby is bundled with lotsa features I think I can leave my DSLR home when I am traveling. It's so friggin compact and pretty darn good looking, too.

hmmm.....I think I've turned into a full-fledge gadget-whore.

.....

First day of November.
It is like the first day you called me all the way from Australia and we spoke about many things that I could vaguely remember. Pardon my memories. Must be the caffeine that is slowly damaging my brain cells

Fashion Rocks Malaysia

Not only do we have the biggest mall/s in the Asian region, but we also have a line up of fashion labels that are unfamiliar to a lot of people joining the all-too-darn-familiar brands that are due to open in these huge malls. For those of us who is in the know, we are very happy to hear/find out that these labels are finally here. Here in our Malaysia boleh land.

7 for all mankind*
evisu
karl lagerfeld
marc by marc jacobs
paul frank*
rock & republic
club monaco (but for good?)
etro ( i think we've had this b4)
.
.
.
.
.

And, there are more obscure ones from Denmark, Sweden, etc. Its crazy competition but at least not everyone is wearing Zara or Topman.

Ahh...I suppose THIS is what I'd call Retail Theraphy. Aside from Fashion, there are plenty of newbies on the home furnishing lines as well as beauty product. So fun.

So. Whilst updating myself with what is in and what is not on the internet - ok, truth is, I was looking for 'inspirations' for an upcoming event that I'm attending :D - i kinda bummed into this label, Band of Outsiders. Cool as hell, I must say. The name and the fashion shoot lah. Their stuff appeals to me too, esp. that their look is all geeky and nerdy LOL

Hmm perhaps, I should do NERDY.

What do you say?

iWant!

Mr Job announced just two days ago the brand spanking new generation of iPod with a new inclusion to the family, iPod Touch. It looks and feels exactly like the iPhone minus the mobile phone function; still, I am loving it! I love the sleek design, the WIFI capability, the cover flow (i'm a sucker for stuff like that), the touch-screen. Ah, u know the works. Basically, Mac is my new religion.

AAAaanyways, when I've got the news, I was ecstatic cos we're both looking at getting an iPod sometime soon. Thankfully, we did not make any purchase. Phew. For a sneak peak of iPod Nano (latest generation, think its the 6th), watch the tv ad featuring Feist and the super-cute song "1,2,3"

Some pictures of the new generation iPod and iPod Touch...I can't wait to feel the actual thing. Rumour has it that it'll reach Asia within 2 - 3 weeks.

Like.no.other

That's it. It is love at first sight. The Rose Red piece is so sexy, it sorta remind me of Jennifer Lopez in her first video. What's that song again? Anyways, I like the colour scheme of the phone - gold & black or red rose and gold. So chic. I can't wait to see the actual thing. Drool much.

Speaking of sexy, I managed to see 1/4 episode of American Idol last night. Watching Lakisha singing 'Conga' while cycling in the gym was quite a difficult balancing act. Especially when she started erm, jiggling. No wonder Randy loved it so much. I like Lakisha. She is like no other. From a bank clerk to standing in front of millions of people doing what she does best - sing! I hope she's in the top 3.

Subversive, Provocative Style

SPS if abbreviated. And, that is Nooka's founder, Matthew Waldman's secret formulation.

What the FISH is a Nooka, I hear you asking?

It's a watch. Plain and simple digital and analog watches. But, they are not just your regular watch. It is a designer watch for that matter. And, as a self-proclaimed designer-whore - for the uninitiated, designer-whore is define as a person who appreciates anything and everything that has all the element of a good design and not necessarily branded goods. Radical, innovative, fresh design and concept that can tell a story by wearing it and owning it. It's like antique but antique is old. Design-whore craves for new things/ideas. A very good example is the iPod. It looks good and, it plays all the music you like in a pocket-size medium. Unfortunately, it is a tad bit over-rated. I am kind cos I used the the phrase 'a tad bit'.

So what is SO innovative and radical about these watches?

Nooka employs the concept of progressive linear bars or sequential dots in a backlit LCD display to tell time. So, as time progresses, visual mass increases to represent hours and minutes, creating amore heightened, intuitive awareness of time.

Whoa. Complicated.

To sum it up, Nooka is damn funky and it brought us back to the future reminiscing those days when our father used to own digital clocks in rectangular shapes that come in different vibrant colours in the colourful, funky era of the 70s. A bit like a thermometer and how it tells time is certainly, definitely for fashionable geek like me. Ha. (Yes, Ad. That's a hint. It's available in Singapore) *grin sheepishly*

Meantime, I can just sulk for not able to own one. Like, I have been sulking to get a DSLR.
